Tamang community observing Sonam Losar
People from Tamang community across the nation are observing Sonam Lhosar today as the Happy New year - the year of sheep that falls under the maagh Shula Pakchhya of the Nepali Calender. Tamangs celebrate the festival by organizing various cultural programs, exchanging good wishes and having the delicious foods. Today the Tamang peoples are celebrating the festival at Tundikhel, Kathmandu with the cultural programs and enjoying the foods. The government of Nepal has given national holiday for the celebration of the festival today.
