Jiri Everest Base Camp Trekking 2018

This is the trail of history as the men who made the first ascension of Mt. Everest in 1953 walked this very same route. Tenzing Norgay Sherpa and Sir Edmund Hillary walked this trail on the way to what is now Everest Base.

    This trek starts with a bus ride to the village of Jiri where the trek to Base Camp begins. The trail rises as it passes through forests of rhododendron flowers as it climbs upwards along river gorges and past waterfalls. All along the trail, you will have views of some of the highest peaks in the world until you finally come to your first view of Mt. Everest as its peak pierces the indigo blue sky of the Himalayas.
